Hazel gloves fruiting well in western hazel woods this month

You may have seen recent updates on research into the ecology of the Hazel Gloves Fungus, Hypocreopsis rhododendri. We'll, if you're on the west cost, October and November are ideal months to look out for this fascinating species. Katie Grundy, has kindly written a Hazel Gloves dossier. Atlantic hazel woods are magical places, dripping with bryophytes and lichens, so well worth a visit. If you are lucky enough to find Hazel Gloves, please remember to submit your records!
