Dr. Shutsung Liao is a Scientific Advisor at ARCH Venture Partners. During the past 40 years, he has published over 200 articles on androgen actions, nuclear receptors, regulation of gene expression, and cancer cell progression and treatment. Dr. Liao received many awards for his scientific contributions, including the Gregory Pincus Medal/Award, Tu Tsungming Medical Award, and Professor Cho Hao Li Memorial Lecture Award. He is a member of the National Academy in Taiwan and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He is a professor at The Ben May Institute in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, on the Committees on Developmental Biology and on Cancer Biology, and in the Cancer Research Center at The University of Chicago. He holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from The University of Chicago and a B.S. and an M.S. from the National Taiwan University.
