Manor House

Demesne Land

Dependent Land
Land assigned to peasant families (villeins/serfs) to farm for their own sustenance, in return for which they owed labor services and goods to the lord.
Free Land
Land held by free peasants (yeomen) who paid money rent rather than labor services.
Village
A cluster of peasant cottages and communal spaces, typically located near the manor house and surrounding farmlands.

Mill
