-3 + x = 2                            x – (-4) = 8                         -2x = -10                             x/-2 = 4

Level 3: Solve for x, Isolate the variable with inverse operations (ie show your work)

X + 3 = 5                             x – 4 = 3                              3x = 12                                x/5 = 4

3x = 2

How many terms? What are they?

Level 4: with integers

X + 4 = -2                           x – 3 = -5                            -5x = -10                             -2x = 6                            

x/-3 = -5                             (-6) + x = -1                       (+2) – x = 5
