Formulas!

A formula is a specific math way to get an answer. You have some way to solve a problem that a smart person came up with that always works...as lng as you do the right math in the right order...

All you need to know is what the numbers are and how to use them.

Examples:

Area of rectangle= length x width

A = l x w

Area of triangle = base x width divided by 2

A = bh/2

Area of a circle = pi x radius squared

A = pi x r x r

Sometimes the formulas are easy, but sometimes they are harder!
