Equivalent Fractions means the same size pieces, but written different ways. Need to be able to convert to different bottom numbers to add or subtract fractions.

Easier: start with pictures to help see that different frac tions can represent the same amount
Medium: Now without the pictures, but you'll need to be able to multiply and divide...
Hardest: These might use larger numbers, or have more than one equivalent fraction
Reducing Fractions: Put the fraction into the smallest form... by dividing both the top and the bottom numbers by the same factor, until it can't be made smaller (reduced).
