Today we reiterated that notes should be short, not full sentences, own words, and should summarize what was read. The project handout is specific to each student, and has some question starters to help guide the research, but you're not limited to that.
YOU are becoming the expert, so make sure you LEARN your stuff, not just find and print your stuff.
Today we talked about what GOOD POSTERS look like:
*Typed paragraphs (no english errors, spelling, grammar, etc. should be good). Images hand drawn or printed in colour. Title BIG and BOLD, with thought into it's artsy display.
*Each image or picture needs to have a short written description to go with it.
*Each piece that is going onto the poster should be cut out neatly, and matted on colourful construction paper, then cut to size. *NO writing directly on the poster board.
*Students should be creative with their presentation, and other ideas besides a poster (or as well as a poster) can be considered. *Please see me to discuss!

Try to find information for kids by adding "for kids" or "Grade 8" after your searches.
Take Notes: in your own words, find the main points, use paper and pencil to take them...
*Notes to be collected and handed in with the completed project
