Math 10 (workplace)

Workplace Math 10 is much more practical and applicable to real life after high school. These are the topics most likely to be used with home renovations, working with budgets, carefully observing the world around us (as told by the news, community communications, and social media posts).

This is the basic level of math that the Ministry of Education feels everyone should have at your age/grade.

Foundations and Pre-Calculus 10 is much more abstract and less used in real life after high school. These topics lead students to calculus, advanced trig, and continued study of mathematics, economics, finance, and engineering. 

This might be the course where students who don't enjoy or understand math begin to ask "why do we have to know this?" or "when am I ever going to need this?"
