Multiplying Exponents!
When you have the same base, and you're multiplying with exponenets, there is a short cut (RULE)
Keep the base and ADD the exponents
What if you have a power to a power?
In this case, we work from the outside in...so the exponent 3 outside the brackets is "exponenting" or affecting everything INSIDE the brackets...so the 3, the x*4, AND the y*6
