Monday, November 17: Finding imaginary zeros, and making polynomials that fit those, using the remainder theorem.
HW: 06.test.review.1.pdf
the question we did in class, in more detail: http://www.purplemath.com/modules/polyends4.htm
Tuesday, November 18: Finishing up, graphing complex numbers
Wednesday, November 19: Practice test.
Thursday, November 20: TEST!
Things that will be on this test:
can you factor quickly, using known rules? (e.g. difference of squares, sum and difference of cubic polynomials, common factors, and factors by grouping)
can you write end behavior appropriately? (e.g. "as x --> (infinity), f(x) --> ______ )
can you identify the power, leading coefficient, end behavior, and other keywords about a polynomial function?
can you factor a polynomial and then graph it?
can you synthetic divide?
can you long divide?
from an equation can you make a graph?
from a graph, can you write an equation?
can you find all roots (real and imaginary)
can you create and equation given some specific roots (don't forget the conjugates!)
