My questions:
1) You work for an oil company. The oil company recently had a very bad spill. You job is to write a survey to give to people in the area of the spill to determine how people feel about your oil company. Write a five question survey that tries to slant people towards positivity towards the oil company.
2) Many people claim they can taste the difference between Coca-Cola and Pepsi. I happen to be one of those people. You job is to design an experiment where we can attempt to tell whether or not a single person can tell the difference. It should follow the following guidelines:
· Goal: What is the goal of your experiment?
· Hypothesis: what do you believe the result will be?
· Cautions: What problems do we need to look out for (for example, will the taste of Pepsi first change the taste of coke afterwards? How can we make sure the person isn’t a lucky guesser?)
· Materials Needed: what will you need for this experiment?
· Procedure: this should be written step-by-step with nothing left out.
On Monday we will look at your procedures. We will design an experiment as a group from your written work here.
