1881 Alfred was running a Livery Stable in Oystermouth, shown with his mother & sister Alice

1897 Sep qtr his first wife Mary Jane dies aged 35

1901 in Oystermouth shown as a Hotel Proprietor, on his own

1902 Alfred marries Margaret PRESTON Jun qtr 1902

1908 Alfred must have joined the army as there is a Military service record of him in the 6th Battalion Welsh (30th) regiment (on LDS website)

1911 He is in Oystermouth with Margaret, shown as a hotel keeper with 3 children Doris, Frederick and Tom.
