and lived at 7, Coastguard Station, Mumbles.

His wife Emma, who was from Devonport, was aged 34 in April 1901

They had two daughters, Emma aged 10 and Vera aged 6 in April 1901

Both daughters were born on The Isle of Sheppy, Kent

The display included a blade from the propeller of the submarine U-9, which in October 1914 sunk HMS Hawke

with the loss of 497 men and 26 officers plus her captain.
