Born - 7 September 1892

Eldest son of Jabez & Jane Daniel,

'Ty-Gwent', Kings Road,

who ran a grocers shop at Castleton Terrace.

He joined the Grenadier Guards on September 17th 1914 and was formerly 19285.

Was one of the first recruits when he enlisted in the Welsh Guards on its’ formation in 1915

On the unveiling of the memorial inside Mumbles Methodist Church, Rev. D.C. Griffiths, the resident Minister paid tribute to Arthur Daniel, 'He was a young man and faithful servant of the Church and remembered him as 'rather reserved and always inclined to look on the more serious side of things.'
