KIFT Thomas Herbert

THE DAILY TOLL

After two years’ service, Bombardier Thomas Herbert KIFT (Bert) R.F.A., son of Mr.& Mrs. Kift, Village Lanes, Mumbles, has died of wounds in Belgium.

Bert (deceased) was 22 years of age, and had been at the front for two years. He had seen service on the Somme and had twice been gassed. A fortnight ago Bert (deceased) had received terrible injuries caused by the bursting of a shell nearby, and there was no hope from the very first.

He was formerly employed by Lloyd Bros., contractors.
