DIGGORY Henry John
Gunner, 14726001, 53 (The Worcestershire Yomanry) Airlanding Lt. Regt. Royal Artillery.
Died 24 March 1945, aged 19. Killed in Action at Hamminkeln, Germany.

Died 16 July 1944, aged 30. Lost over France during Air Operations.
Buried in Row B. Grave 1 at LIGIERS-DE-TOURAINE COMMUNAL CEMETERY, France.
Son of William James Jones and Elizabeth Ann Jones of Swansea.
Sister, 239730, Queen Alexandra's Imperial Nursing Service.
Died 7 December 1942, aged 27.
Remembered on Panel 22, Column 2 at BROOKWOOD MEMORIAL, Surrey.
Daughter of David John and Dora Morris of Blackpill, Swansea.
We are grateful to a family historian, for information which has revealed that
Dora was travelling to Cape Town with ticket no. 331 on the White Star Liner, SS Ceramic when the ship, with 378 passengers on board disappeared. Later it was discovered that the ship had been torpedoed and sunk on 6 December at latitude 40 deg. 30 min. N., longitude 40 deg. 20 min. W, and that there was one survivor, a sapper of the Royal Engineers, who was later picked up by U 515 and taken to a German prison camp.

STEELE Leslie Arthur
Sgt. Flight Engineer, 1419176, served with 166 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.
Died 20 October 1943. Lost over Leipzig Germany during air operations..
Buried in Coll. grave 8. C. 6-9. at BERLIN 1939-1945 WAR CEMETERY, Berlin.
