Example Note Cards

For this research project you will have two types of cards, bibliography cards and note cards.

    Bibliography Cards give information about your sources.

    Note cards give information about your topic.  Each note card has a single bit of information about your topic.  It also has a Roman numeral that indicates which section of your outline it covers and the bibliography number (from a bib card) that shows the source of the information.  If the information came from a book, also write the page number.  Below is a sample bibliography card and a note care with information from that source.  The Roman numeral corresponds to the sample outline.

You will get multiple note cards from each source.  As you read through a source, make a note card whenever you find information that connects to your research.  You will need about 50 note cards for this project.

Note cards may be made using index cards or on a table using either google.docs or OpenOffice.  Your table should be no more than three across.
