Remember the author study is five books by a single author. Be sure the author you choose has written at least five books, AND you have access to these books.
There are a few restrictions on who you can choose as an author.
1. You may not use the author you used in 7th grade.
2. You may not use Gary Paulsen or Margaret Peterson Haddix as these are 7th grade authors.
3. You may not read more than three books in a series.
4. Your author books are books read during the school year. (Speak to Ms. Doyle privately if you have concerns about this.)
