Act One

This act establishes the Challenge and the difficulties involved with meeting same, and The Problem, generally a wrong that must be righted, a Good Deed that should be done, or an oncoming peril which is increasingly perilous.

The Cast decides what they’re going to do about The Challenge and/or The Problem and then proceed to their first obstacle, reversal or shocking discovery. This should be hard enough that the Cast will have to make rolls, but well short of an even match. They should only fail at this point from their own mistakes. This is actually a chance to show how awesome they are – so let them. Typically, they’ll overcome this obstacle to discover an even larger one looming in the near distance. That discovery is the end of Act I.

You take a break here for “commercials” meaning everybody pees, smokes, eats or what have you.
