The Range of a SFX is the base unit of distance the effect can cover without additional difficulty.
The base increment is 60’, unless:
· The SFX is magic, in which case the base increment is 1d6x5 in yards.
· A base range of Line of Sight (often abbreviated LOS) could be substituted at no cost. This would be fixed; you could not target what you could not observe.
· A base range of Touch is -2 Plops. This would be fixed; you could not target what you could not touch.
· A base range of Self is -2 Plops. The SFX could only affect the user.
Every multiple of the range adds one dice of Difficulty. So if you tried to use an SFX with a Range of 60’ over a distance of 100’, that adds one Difficulty. At 150” it would be +2DD.
