Use of Powers is regulated through Chips. These can be actual poker chips (as we prefer) or a number written on paper. Be certain you can tell the difference between Chips and Plops counters.
Each player receives 3 Chips at the beginning of each episode. These represent the free use of their power. By turning in a chip, (ideally by flipping it dramatically into the middle of the table) the character can use their power without exhaustion and without a roll if the task is uncontested.
Chips cannot be saved between Episodes. They must all be turned in at the Group Hug.
Cast members can use their powers without chips, but at default exhaustion and difficulty values detailed below:
· Extraordinary powers exhaust at double rate and have a base Difficulty of Extremely Hard [5DD].
· Supernatural Powers exhaust at triple rate and have a base Difficulty of Brutal [6DD].
· Fantastic Powers exhaust at quadruple rate and have a base Difficulty of Unbelievable [7DD].
Many, many factors could change those values, but that's where they start.
