The Effect is how we define whatever the SFX actually does. Ideally, it should be defined as a one sentence effect (one subject, one verb) with a specific numerical value attached. If you can do this in bonuses (or penalties) to the Task Roll, all the better.
If a second sentence is required, that counts as an added parameter, and add +1DD to the default Difficulty.
The base increment is +1.
If applicable, it could be +1 Difficulty Dice.
For Damage or healing of any sort it is +1 dice.
If dice are not appropriate, chances are one of the following is:
· Mass or change in mass in inanimate objects = 100# Use this value for creating mass out of nothing, disintegrating mass, or changing the size of inanimate objects.
o For magic this would be d6x25#.
o For living things, use Size.
· Movement for living things use MV.
o For objects use 30’/second.
o For objects by magic use d6x6’/second.
· Force = Strength.
o If ST is not plausible, then use 500 Newtons.
o Newtons via magic would be d6x100 Newtons.
