Banana Dark Chocolate Chip Muffins

Banana Dark Chocolate Chip Muffins (adapted from Dulce Dough)

2 cups flour

3/4 cup sugar

2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

2 eggs

2 small ripe bananas, mashed

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted and slightly cooled

1/4 cup milk

1/4 cup Greek yogurt (or sour cream)

1 tsp vanilla

1 cup dark chocolate chips (or semisweet, or chunks, etc)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees, and grease/line a 12-cup muffin pan. Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together in a large bowl and set aside.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla. Stir in mashed bananas and yogurt until well combined. Add to dry ingredients and stir until just moistened (there will still be bits of flour) Stir in chocolate chips.

Divide batter among muffins cups. Bake for for 18-22 minutes, or until golden-brown and firm to the touch. Let cool a few minutes in pan before removing.
