Finally, it's this years last Sunday
My Cannabis versus Alcohol Problem
Satisfied with your Christmas meals ?. Drinking down to the bottom of the last bottle of wine ?. Than I will be brief. I saw people repost their best google posts. It isimportant that we are making progress. But it is one more step forward and then 10 been back. It was a busy year. No I'm not going to mention it all, such as moving from city to city. The blues which came after my 17 year relationship ended, or experiments with cannabis oils and tinctures, the cannalytics tests on 32 strains, vaporizer tests, the homecoming of the ac dc strain without cbd, or starting a foundation for and by patients, which ended before we could even take off. Or building the site, our radio interview on Time4Hemp, my contribution to the National Cannabis Patient's Wall, my own quest for the cheapest "therapeutic supportive tool" which i found in hash; or the meeting with the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, where the - governmental approved - Office for Medicinal Cannabis is housed. ( link to the Office for Medicinal Cannabis ) No I'm not going on about how i walked this year, almost every day, 1 to 8 kilometers, after i spent almost eight monthsin bed in 2012/2013. I will not even start on how chronically ill slowly are being strangled between laws, high rent, overpriced groceries and health costs, NO one can pay all by himself. Or go off on what was happening in the world of cannabis, as stock trading or business. Or blast away that a coffee shop would sue me, the dutch independent patient, for trying to publish the truth ( facts ) and a piece of mind ( opinion ). No I will not whine about peshawar, terrorism, killing our innocent, or the amounts of tax money used by governments on useless IT projects, while our earth increasingly is suffocating due pollution. Or talk about how rich became richerand the poor poorer. Or on human and animal rights versus suffering, how trade in exotic animals has increased. Again.
Okay I digress. To understand this article correctly, you need the following; In the Netherlands 16 million people live. Estimated is that 7 million use alcohol and 1 million use cannabis regularly. We have 750.000 problem drinkers, and about a few tens of thousands of problematic cannabis users. All these figures are estimated. What is an approximate number however; 2 years ago one doctor said in the English newspaper that monthly about 1000 patients with an acute psychosis ended in the emergencies. Strangebecause if someone ended up drunk on the emergency room, the doctor does not mention acute psychosis but names it poisoning or intoxication. So, 1200 cannabis cases per year in the United Kingdom. Investigation has shown that each year 240.000 people ended in the emergency room by alcohol poisoning. Simply put; 200 alcohol poisoning versus 1 cannabis poisoning ?. 20 years ago I worked in the army where a lot booze was used. Regularly we had rides to the hospital due alcohol with our ambulance. I figured it out ; over a period of almost five years ; 400 alcohol poisoning versus 1 cannabis poisoning.Yes, I'm on the loose. "Some of you know" that I moved last year in February. From a town just north of Amsterdam to the city of Tilburg, in the southern of the Netherlands. I rented a room ( unseen ) in a building with 5 rooms. The other residents appeared to be alcoholics.Started drinking when they were 15. They drink 8 to 20 cans of 0.5 liter beer a day. No, on a 24/7 hour base. Theykept me awake at night, woke me several times. I'm also the only one, who on a daily base, cleans with the mop and Dettol(disinfectant) our toilet because these inmates are chronically ill and leave their pee / poo marks on the toilet seat, door handles andfaucets. They never clean anything OR wash their hands. Sometimes they fall in 'sleep' 3 x per day. Or pee / poo in their pants. Or fall asleep while they pooped IN their pants. I will not go on about my several rheumatic diseases and the increased risk on inflammation due these bacteria. Or how these four residents have 7 coaches who determine from behind their desk, that I may be exposed - in addition to all the filth - to the aggressive fits of thesealcoholics. While i, chronically ill, not had help once from the municipality in 10 years.
No I'm not raving on, because after 7 months i am done, or empty. This year i often talked to patients about synthetic drugs or synthetic cannabis, THCand CBD. Legal highs. Precisely the synthetic cannabis shows why bio organic cannabis is so innocent. The use of twice the normal amount of damagemay already occur to liver, kidneys and brains, and can lead to heart failure, coma and even death. Besides ending the remainder of the synthetic drugsand drugs in surface water. It amazes me seriously that our political leaders do worry about 15% or 20% THC - marijuana and hashish in the coffee shop. We see that people use all kinds of solvents to make cannabis oils. In addition, it brings another question along. We in the Netherlands are allowed to buy 80% rum in the store and the neighbors, in Belgium, even grain alcohol 94%. That is lethal stuff. I also believe the hype of cannabis oilcan be dangerous, there's a lot of sellers who just want to make money. It drives the price of cannabis only up. Finally, I don't eat my tomatoes orspinach as a concentrate? And it worries me. Not that we can buy this 94 %, but that politicians don't "understand" these different kind of dangers. The dangers, of synthetics versus alcohol versus cannabis. That we, humanity is allowed to deal with booze but not with cannabis. It's a bit of media manipulation, as of ; " Look at your left side, so you will see not the right side ".
Now let's finish the year with a big bhang
( sorry i meant ; bhang tea ; bhang tea On wiki )
Let us be careful out there. There are also 200 to 400 times more motorists with booze - than someone with too much weed - in traffic.
( This corrupted data is bad satirically anecdotal irony )
