Hi There! My name is Pita and I am 48 years old.

I've struggled with many illnesses spanning way back to my early childhood but I will only focus on what's currently ailing me. In 1981 I was diagnosed with MS and told then that I'd be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life soon. Its now 2014 and I'm still walking despite what the "experts" have said. I also have arthritis..jury is still out on whether its rheumatoid or osteoarthritis since I've been informed that its impossible to have both kinds even though I've been diagnosed with both at different times. My main diagnoses are: MS / Fibromyalgia / Diabetes (well controlled) / Asthma / Allergies/ Systemic Scleroderma / Hypertension (most likely caused by my MS med) There's others, but they aren't all that bothersome. I've had a myriad of surgeries, (this is not the complete list):

1989 about a foot of large intestine removed.

1990 gall bladder removed.

1991 appendix removed.

1992 surgery to repair stomach ulcer. Roughly 1/4 of my stomach was removed.

1998 my very first laminectomy on lower spine.

2003 hysterectomy.

2004 my second laminectomy on lower spine.

2008 my "good" ovary removed due to pain and twisting which sent me into instant menopause.

I still struggle with hot flashes today.
