June 26 #Denmark UPDATE JUNE 2018 😊
Dear all of you out there.
Since the New Year, we have been trying to get an update in the process. How far is the matter reached in their internal system and when can we expect to attend Geneva ?. Pt. we have not gained further insight. The case has been with the United Nations since March 2017 so our patience is well tested 😊
Despite new initiatives in Danish legislation regarding writing cannabis on prescription, it remains relevant to enforce our own human rights when ignored. Additional reliefs should not be about age or specific diagnosis. I will continue to encourage focus on the goal of this action and not whether or not cannabis works.
See the press release here for optimum insight:

Support Marianne's journey to Geneva Funding to direct costs for Mhj's action: The right to be heard by the United Nations Human Rights Commission in 2018.
Elevated Cannabis plant for medical use. The Case The case is about disabled people's rights and human rights of people with illness In the case of Marianne Højgaard Jensen ( Here in after 'Mhj'), the case is entitled to the right to choose the type of treatment she will use. After thorough research, experience and longer periods of time in the #Danish#health service and surrounding authorities, Mhj has experienced pressure towards certain treatments and being excluded from others. Mhj will contest her right to determine the treatment of human health and quality of life, to be able to do so within the framework of the system. Further to renounce participation in, what must be considered as medical experiments and at the same time to receive the social benefits she is entitled to.
Due to Mhj's experience with the benefits of the use of cannabis for medical treatment, she has been excluded from supervision and treatment of the Danish health and safety system. Due to current circumstances, mhj wants to be responsible for her own patient safety.
According to the un's Universal #Declaration of #human #rights , the #un convention on economic, social and cultural rights, the United Nations Security Council and the United Nations Security Council, mhj is protected against the treatment that she has suffered in Denmark.
· She has a right to dignified and tolerable life.
· She has the right not to be subjected to medical experiments.
· She has the right not to be discriminated against
This has not been maintained by the Danish authorities in mhj's case and therefore the legality of those conventions will be tested in front of the un human rights committee in Geneva. Mhj is represented by Mr Poul Hauch Fenger who has taken the case pro Bono. The matter is the first of its kind in the world, that will come for the United Nations. Poul Hauch Fenger is, in addition to being a defence lawyer, candidate in political science, external lecturer and has several years of experience from un and #eu related.
In this case, the case is mhj, but the case will also constitute a #precedent for present and future cases of same nature.
Use of collected funds The funds collected are to be used for 4 people travelling to #Geneva to bring the matter to the un #commission on human rights.
Who is Marianne: Marianne, or Mhj suffers from complex regional smertesyndrom (formerly called reflex dystrofi - today called crps). The disease is caused by a medical defect (2006) which has subsequently been recognised by Which has since been recognized in the Patient Compensation (2010) which also meant recognition of her diagnosis. However, this condition is not registered and recognised by the Danish Health / list of rare diagnoses. The disorder causes the mhj to have extreme, constant and daily pain. Her pain is described medically as between 40-50 in Mcgill's pain index and is thus described as extreme.

Please share Thanks to Ms Marianne Højgaard Jensen #denmark Quote intro : “For the first time, a case on the use of cannabis based medicine will be brought before the United Nations Human Rights Committee (CCPR). The illegalisation must be put to an urgent test. To save lives.
My client. Ms. Marianne Hojgaard Jensen. suffers from Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CPRS) type 2, stage 3.
All possible avenues for the treatment of my client have been exhausted. She also suffers from severe allergic reaction to regular medication including morphine-based painkillers, thus forcing her to a life of almost unbearable agonising constant pain. Only cannabis-based medicine brings her some relief End quote
