Bad luck, just luck, pure deliberately behavior or intentional murder
Health is a culmination of bad luck or just lucky, genetics, social environment, upbringing and what you do yourself. Yet we are all paying increasingly to our health insurers. Whether everyday you eat healthy and do sport, or not. The past 1.5 year I lived in a house where four alcoholics - on social benefits - drink 10 to 30 beer every day, don't eat, never do sport and create debt. While others work hard, eat well and do sport. So far for bad and just lucky. Or pure deliberately behavior. Now the intentional murder. Most of us watched "Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution in America". In a Ryan Seacrest radioshow Jamie called for action by parents and children attending schools within the Los Angeles Unifed School District. The board of LAUSD denied Jamie and his film crew access to their schools. So Jamie asked parents and children from the school, to come to his restaurant "Jamie's Kitchen" in L.A.. The parents and children took school food with them. Now, I've never seen a lot but never such rubbish. Donuts, fast food and milk with flavors containing more sugar than cola. Some schools in the district had 20 % obesity among their tudents and some even had even 80%. How can a school board ignore health risks involved.
Hm, i remember 40 years back, we got cartons with milk. Today my biological milk already has 4,5% sugar. No, i do not need extra sugar in my coffee anymore. Understand. Just as all those kids who consume to much sugars so smart doctors can diagnose them with adhd. I digress. If you become obese there can be increased risk on diabetes and heart, vascular, blood disorders and diabetes. Once you are sick, as diabetes there can be also an increased risk on several other diseases such as cancer. Jamie met a girl of 13 years with much family members who had diabetes or already died due this. The girl was very involved, sad and real anxious to become diabetic. Jamie showed the involved parents how remnants of meat, including innards, are processed into 'fake meat' which again can be found in products as burgers or other beef / meatloaf products with a maximum of 15%. I digress. Keep your eyes open. If you're not allowed in the "kitchen" of a restaurant, schools or food factories, there's something wrong. Get out, Walk away !.
That's right. I have been in very good restaurants, but sometimes in bad ones. Some classic examples: Sauces and gravy out packages with to much salt and preservative agents. Products that were in the refrigerator for a week instead of the maximum two days. A snack bar owner who wiped his nose and continued to prepare a pizza. A fishmonger who peed behind his car and did not wash his hands before he made the next sandwich. Poo bacteria in self made ice creams. Dog hair floating through the hair.. air, i meant and can be found in everything. This was on TV: The same parsley garnish was used again and again for a whole week. When it returned from the restaurant, the parsley was rinsed and dried in the windowsill. Now I read many investigations and do follow the news, so I know. We are all made addicted to sugars. I never buy wrong food, but still read labels - where still not is on what is really in the product. The only food you can trust is what you can prepare yourself.
Last month I lived at the house of an older woman. I made healthy meals with little or no salt and lots of fresh vegetables. Today we went to the doctor for the result of a blood test. Her cholesterol was down from 7,8 to 4.6. Still the nurse suggested her medication was a little low. She formerly lived on 80% fast-food due her alcoholic ex boyfriend ( stupid is stupid does ). This lady likes to buy desserts. And most of these desserts, custard or yogurt with fruit, contain a sugar level between 10 and 15%. Her favorite is a mix of custard and yogurt and real vanilla seeds. Nevertheless it contained 15% sugar. So last week I bought a pack of normal yogurt and 1 vanilla bean. I took the seeds out, did them in the yogurt and let it stand for 2 days before we tried it. The vanilla flavor was all around and good. She thought it was tasty but missed the 10% sugar and still bought another pack "custard and stewed pears" with 13.6% sugar. On average one takes 200 ml in a desserts so sugar is then approximately 30 ml. That is about 6 large teaspoons or a big tablespoon of sugar. Compare this with your cola or cup of coffee and then you know it's wrong. Completely wrong. Children are made sugar addict. They are already sick before they leave school. Do the math what this means for health-care costs and drugs for rest of their life as they age. If They get older, 25% does not reach the retirement age at all. If you get a chronic disease, it means that you have to take medication for the rest of your life. Or so says your doctor. You might have an increased risk on osteoarthritis, diabetes or cancer. AND that while 20% of dutch does not go to the doctor or pharmacy when it is really necessary. This due the obligated own contribution.
