Çatalhöyük

Archaeologists are excavating the remains of a Neolithic town. 9,000 years ago, this place was one of the world's largest settlements. At a time when most of the world's people were wandering hunter-gatherers, as many as 10,000 people lived at Çatalhöyük, which is in central Turkey. This website will tell you more about how archaologists are exploring the ruins at this site and what they are learning.

When you are done with that, watch this BrainPOP video on the Agricultural Revolution. Don't forget, you have to log in!

After you are done with all the assigned activities, you may also see the official Çatalhöyük dig site.
