Assignment

1. Find a current event article from a newspaper, magazine, or the Internet that relates to Life Science. If you choose to obtain the article from the Internet, it must be a published article from a reliable source, preferably one of the sites listed at right. Choose quality articles that interest you. No summaries of real articles.

2.A current event is something that has happened in a month or two since the due date of the article. No old news please!

3. Read the article. Then go back and highlight.

4. Write a summary of the article using the format in the box below. Include the following:

• Who?
• What?
• Where?
• When?
• How?
• Why?

5. You will be able to answer these questions in 1-2 complete sentences. Finish your current event report by telling the reader whether you liked the article or not and why in 2-3 sentences.

6. Your assignment should be typed. Remember to check your spelling and grammar. Add pictures or photos if possible.

7. Carefully cut out the article or print the article off and attach it to the report.
