This is a good site for teaching poetry, particularly through performance. While it doesn’t
focus on family involvement, it does have methods for incorporating poetry in the
classroom.
This is a website that documents many ways that poetry affects and informs people’s
lives. It includes videos, readings, resources, lesson plans, and even information about
poetry workshops that people can attend.

The National Writing Project has many ideas and articles about teaching poetry in the
classroom. This link from the National Writing Project’s website describes a family writ-
ing project. The site includes activities designed to encourage parents’ participation in
children’s literacy learning.
