Photo Credit and Citing

First, Go to this article about shark scales and look at the photo on this page.

    • Who is the photographer?
    • What is the name of the website?
    • What is the address (URL) of the website?
    • How do you find the address of the PHOTO? (Hint: try right-clicking on it)

Open up a Microsoft Word document (go to Start menu, choose Programs and then Microsoft Word)

    • paste the web address (URL) of the photo onto the page
    • hit the Enter button

Now go to Google Images

    • A quick way to is to type into the address bar (not the search bar!): images.google.com

When you go there you should be sure you have set your search settings to Strict Safe Search

    • Click on Search Settings in the upper right corner.
    • Now scroll down slightly to find the Safe Search Filtering section.
    • Click on Use Strict Filtering
    • Scroll up and click on the Save Preferences button.
    • Now you can search (a little more) safely.

Search on the word Vikings

    • Click on the first picture.
    • Click on full-size image to go to a page that only show the picture.
    • Right-click in the address bar and paste it into your Word document.
    • To find out what website it came from, click the back button and then follow the link for the website for this image.
