The following information should be included about the disease you choose to research:


1. What is the name of the disease?

2. Is this disease communicable or non-communicable? Ex: The common cold is a communicable

3. What body systems are affected? disease that affects the respiratory system.

4. What is the cause of this disease? Virus, bacteria, or another pathogen?  Is the disease inherited or the result of a birth defect?  Is the cause unknown?

5. What are the symptoms and/or complications for someone with this disease?

6. What is the treatment for this disease?  Is there a cure?

7. How is this disease diagnosed?  How would someone know they have it?

8. What are the methods of prevention?  If the are no ways to prevent getting/developing the disease then state that.

9. What are the risk factors for developing this disease?  Controllable and non-controllable.

10 Any statistics, facts, historical information, graphs, charts, or images about the disease.
