2. You Have A Perfect Righteousness in Christ
A. You have a perfect righteousness
The very moment you believe in Yeshua as your Saviour, you are made the righteousness of God in Christ.
Righteousness is the character or the position of a person who can stand before God perfectly sinless and having perfectly obeyed all the laws of God.
Today you stand before God perfectly righteous and perfectly sinless.
Today you stand before God just as if you had never sinned.
Today you stand before God just as though you have obeyed all the laws of God.
2 Corinthians 5:21
God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.
You became a new creation with a new nature the moment you believed in Yeshua.
Part of this new nature is the righteousness of God given to you as a gift.
You are a partaker of God’s perfect righteousness in Christ.
God’s righteousness is a perfect righteousness.
You have a perfect righteousness.
1. Confess the truth with your mouth for a transformation of your spirit
If you believed this truth, you must confess it with your mouth.
God’s word says that when we believe and confess God’s truth, it brings salvation, transformation and life to our spirit.
Romans 10:9-10
9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart
that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified [made righteous], and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
When you confess your righteousness in Christ, you are saved.
To be saved is to be blessed with the life of God, and blessed with healing, deliverance, wisdom, revelation, boldness, great faith, great authority, great glory, great victory.
Therefore begin to confess as follows concerning your righteousness in Christ:
Yeshua has been made unto me wisdom, righteousness, holiness and redemption.
He, who knew no sin, was made sin for me, so that I might be the righteousness of God in Christ Yeshua.
Through the blood of Yeshua, I am justified (made righteous), just as though I had never sinned.
I am the righteousness of God in Christ Yeshua.
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for me.
Therefore, I can stand boldly before the throne of God without any guilt, fear, condemnation or unworthiness.
Therefore, I reign in life through my righteousness in Christ Yeshua.
This confession will cause you to come before God boldly, and to come before God in great faith that He will answer all your prayers.
This confession will cause you to be fearless before the evil one and cause you to rule over all sickness, all demons, and all works of the evil one.
2. You have a perfect righteousness in Christ today
You are not 99 percent righteous before God, with 1 percent sin.
You have been given God’s own righteousness today.
And it is a perfect righteousness.
When Christ died on the cross, He took away all your sin, and gave you all the righteousness of God.
Hebrews 10:14
Because by one sacrifice He has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.
If you had even 1 percent sin, there is no way that you can stand before God to worship God, to pray to Him, or to fellowship with Him.
God has made you 100 percent righteous with His own righteousness, so that you can fellowship with Him as sons and daughters coming to a Father in heaven.
Ephesians 4:22-24
22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self,
which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;
23 to be made new in the attitude
of your minds;
24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
You were created to be like God.
You were created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
And God’s righteousness is a perfect righteousness.
3. You stand perfectly sinless and faultless before God today
Every time you come before God, God sees you perfectly faultless and sinless.
Today, you are perfectly sinless, pure, holy and righteous before God.
This comes through the work of Yeshua on the cross.
Jude 1:24-25
24 To Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before His
glorious presence without fault and with great joy—
25 to the only God our Saviour be glory, majesty, power and authority.
God has brought each of us through the blood of Yeshua before His presence without fault and with great joy.
God has done it for us, so do not doubt and lose your boldness to enter His presence.
Ephesians 1:4
For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and
blameless in His sight.
Colossians 1:21-22
21 Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behaviour.
22 But now He has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in His sight, without blemish and free from accusation.
It is God’s plan that He has chosen you to be holy and blameless in His sight today.
And it is true that you are holy and blameless before God today.
God says that today, in His sight, you are holy, without blemish and free from all accusation and condemnation.
Believe God’s word and declare it, and do not believe your feelings or wrong teaching.
4. In God’s sight, you are counted as having obeyed all the laws of God through Christ
No man on earth has ever obeyed all of God’s laws, except Yeshua.
Yeshua came to fulfill all righteousness, to fulfill all the demands of God’s laws.
Not once did He sin, even when tempted by the evil one.
Matthew 3:15
Jesus replied, "Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness." Then John consented.
Hebrews 4:15
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin.
When we believe in Christ Yeshua, we are united with Him.
All that He has done and fulfilled now belongs to us.
His righteousness is now our righteousness.
Before God’s throne today, God sees us with the righteousness of Yeshua.
God sees us as having obeyed all of God’s laws.
1 Corinthians 1:30
It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom
from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.
5. You cannot add to the perfect righteousness of God
Many believers want to add to the righteousness that God has given them.
It cannot be done; so do not try.
God has given you a perfect righteousness.
Many believers wrongly think that if they do more good works, they will be more righteous and God will bless them more.
They believe that if they pray more, fast more, serve more, they will have more righteousness and God will bless them more.
This is wrong thinking.
This is living "under law."
If you think and live wrongly like that, all the joy and peace and rest of God will leave you.
This is because you are trusting in your "good works" to gain righteousness from God.
You are already now the perfect righteousness of God.
And all of heaven’s riches belong to you today.
It does not matter whether you are a new believer or an old one; both have the same righteousness, and both have the same access and right to all blessings in Christ today.
E.g. The Jews under the old covenant, under the Law of Moses, seek to earn their righteousness by their good works.
But God says that such righteousness is like dirty rags, and God hates such self-righteousness.
In fact, those who try to do righteous acts to earn righteousness in order to deserve God’s blessings, will all fail in their efforts.
Isaiah 64:6
All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.
Romans 9:30-31
30 What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith;
31 but Israel, who pursued a law of righteousness, has not attained it.
32 Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works.
The righteousness that God wants us to have is His own righteousness, given to us when we believe in Jesus.
This righteousness of God is a gift received by faith.
Romans 3:21-22
21 But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify.
22 This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.
Romans 1:17
For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."
And all believers in Yeshua have the perfect righteousness of God today.
