Lehner
The Lehner family has their origins in Schömersdorf, Bavaria, Germany.
The earliest known Lehner is Andreas Lehner; he died in 1862 in Schömersdorf.
In March 1887, Bartholomew "Bartl" Lehner, grandson of Andreas, immigrated to America. On the same ship was Bartl's future bride Frances Sturm from Braunsried. They were married in 1889 and settled on a farm in Sauk County, Wisconsin.

On a Windy Day in March
In Eighteen Eighty-Seven
Bartholomew Lehner
Embarked From Bremen
On the SS Rhein
He Sailed the Sea
And On That Ship
Was His Bride-To-Be
Frances Sturm
Came With Barbara, Her mother
Bartl Came Alone
As Adam, His Brother
They Sailed to Baltimore
Took Separate Paths to Plain
When Two Years Later
They Met Again
Love Soon Grew
And Turned to Marriage
All Told, They Pushed Eight
In Their Baby Carriage

All in the Hopes That
Their Memory'd Live On
It's One Hundred and Seven Years
Since They Set Forth
From Their Families and Friends
In Pertolzhofen und Schömersdorf
Now It's Time Once Again
To Gather Together
And Get Reacquainted
No Matter the Weather
We'll See Some New Faces
And Some That Are Old
We Hope You're All Comin'
Let's Pray it Ain't Cold.
The Children of Mary
Planned the Reunion This Year
In Hope's That You'd Come
From Far and From Near
If Bartl and Frances
Could Come Here From Over There
We Know You'll Be Here
To Show That You Care
So Bring that Cooked Chicken
And Salads and Cake
Old Recipes, and New
That We All Like To Bake
Show Off Your Good Cookin'
Your Delicacies and Treats
