At-home Practice:
Supplies:
deck of cards - remove all face cards
Divide the deck evenly among the players. Player 1 turns over a card. Then Player 2 turns over a card and counts on that many. If he/she is correct, Player 2 keeps both cards. If not, Player 1 keeps the cards. Next, Player 2 turns over a card first, then Player 1 turns over a card and counts on. Play continues until all cards are used. The player with the most cards at the end is the winner!

Supplies:
deck of cards - remove all face cards
Divide the deck evenly among the players. Keep the cards face down. Each player turns over two cards and subtracts their cards. For example, if your child draws a 5 and a 4, they would say 5 - 4 = 1. If you draw a 9 and 3, then your number sentence would be 9 - 3 = 6. Your difference is larger, so you would win all the cards. If each of you has the same difference, draw 2 more cards each and find the difference. The player with the larger difference wins all the cards. Continue playing until one player has all of the cards.
