I'm a business owner and entrepreneur! I have been running my business since 2009 and over the year mastered different skills as the opportunities came along... Jeweller but also stylist, I made my way into several areas of the fashion & luxury industry. With a diploma in strategic & operational marketing I truly believe in a well build story to attract the either for a brand, a boutique or an Island ;) I like a good challenge and I can tell you starting to sty again at 31 years old was way harder than I thought but I got use to it and you can now see what have been up to for the
last trimester.
My tagline "WA'S JEWEL" speaks for itself. I designed the whole graphic motion design based on two of my passions which are Western Australia, Fashion & jewelery. In this idea to rebrand penguin island into this luxury destination in this time where people can only travel inter state. It was an opportunity for me to talk about a place a bit left behind and to it on the front row.
To achieve this look and style I was inspired by a friend of mine Jean Boggio (famous designer and jeweler). All my assets bring forward different elements of Penguin island in a revisited way... It's all golden and all shiny with sapphires, opals, emeralds. We have this feeling to under water must at the same just high enough to enjoy the sunset shading on the island represented by the rings. With this art work the goal is to give to Penguin Island the light it deserves.
Multidisciplinary artist and jeweller Jean Boggio casts a magic spell on everything he touches.
The wildly imaginative creations of the artist Jean Boggio have a story to be told, from his miniature citadels rings to his colourful jungle jewels.
His monumental rings are miniature towers, villages and palaces set within mysterious gardens planted with chrysoprase, amethysts, diamonds, sapphires and rubies.
It was quite a process to find the right colour but I tried to stay true to my aesthetic: colourful, vibrant but yet elegant... I remember during the first meeting with Zeppo that he was not that fan of green as it doesn't work that great on the screen! But I wanted to take the challenge to do something with a very different colour scheme.
1st step was to roughly sketch.
2nd starting to iterate and incorporate my penguin into my ring concept.
3rd step was to find back my way to gouache paint as we use in jewellery.
Finally bring my painting into AI to start the further iterations to the final project you started to discover.
My ring was the central element that inspired my whole artwork a good way for me to find the perfect alliance between graphic design and my jobs (fashion & jewellery). This ring has been changed and improved till the very last week...
As usual I started with rough sketches with my first 3 elements the penguin, the sea and the island at first.
Ended up with a version a bit more iterate but I wasn't satisfied by the very amateur look of my penguin and lack of dimension.
That was my final logo I presented on week which I was pretty pleased with at the time.
Then obviously in a few weeks time my project evolved and I decided before delivery to update some of my previous assets as my logo. A bit more realistic, simplistic & elegant.
I started with one main assets and ended up with 12 assets and I did many more that I finally didn't use. I think all this different colours and textures is what make my piece so special and personal. Not only about the industry I'm working in but very much so about my journey as a graphic designer student. It help me realise my potential and get more confident in what I can achieve...
1st try on indesign using some of my assets but the feedback was that it wasn't matching enough with my animation project.
I tried changing the colours, fonts and placement but it was still not working!
Finally the magic started ti happen when I've been advise to use photoshop to make my poster to have more creative room.
And after numerous other feedback my poster is tied up with my final artwork for Yagan Square. It is cohesive, chic and a good insight into my Penguin Island
promotion campaign.
I ordered some collaterals as this cap printed with one of my opal asset and this embroidered polo shirt with another sapphire asset.
Again I use myself as a model for some very personal mockup, I tried to design some items that people might actually be able to use or wear in the day to day life not something that will end up in the back of a cupboard.
This was decided as I think it's quite emblematic in Australia for your beer during summer at the beach, at a barbecue etc... My twist was with a can of coke while watching TV.
It was my first refine PSD drawing
I was trying to play with my elements and colours to find the right balance.
I was finally starting to refine my assets and along the way my artwork.
I changed it at last minute on Friday 28th of August to achieve something that I can be proud of it's a magical show that you can imagine happen under the sea or such when you're watching one of Penguin island sunset is this a green ray after the sunset...

Chloe Schmidt did an amazing job to translate my music vision for this piece, she was fast and efficient. I think it goes well with the world I created.
I was the creative director, stylist for EYES MAGAZINE. I work for this cover and editorial with a famous Swiss influencer alongside Chopard and Elie Saab.
Jewellery campaign for my own brand called at the time "Atelier Spinel". A solid silver jewellery brand of limited pieces, I was the creative director and stylist for the photoshoot. My PR agency manage to have ERES swimsuits (only swimwear brand own by Chanel). The location is on the lake shore of Geneva own by
my partner.
I did the all styling and designed the mermaid outfit "FRENCH PHOTOGRAPHY TOUR" the thematic was around the "Little Mermaid". It was about the dual of the a mermaid as a human and as sea creature...
