Treasurable Momentos is a magazine for the family viewer to provide holiday travel information from professional tourism consultants. This magazine's content has a focus on a family-friendly holiday destination. The magazine authenticity is to capture the family moment, and this issue focused on Japan and renowned animation Studio Ghibli theme.
I started sketching examples to visualize the masthead layout. Slowly testing out banner styles to be not a plain masthead and getting assistance from my classmates point of view. The last version is an inspiration from a classmate of the typeface combine with the focus banner like how we do when looking at the object before taking the picture.
The development has changed from a landscape image to the photography family helped the concept of a Family tourism magazine. The idea to add Ghibli character gave the sense connection that this magazine is about the Studio Ghibli and add gradient hue to contrast the masthead.
My role for Kent Vuong Game is to illustrates a few version of the dystopian landscape. As for style or colour palette, I have full reign to decide that and the amount that Vuong mention to do 9, but 4 was enough. Canvas size is 1920x1080 pixel, and my references are from the anime BNA and Ghost in a shell.
