have chosen Kings Park as a National Park to design on for this Studio Project. I want to bring the atmosphere by replicating some florals located in the area onto the Motion Pattern. All the visual elements has been done in a realistic art style because Kings Park is a place where it remains an important ceremonial and cultural place, I don't want to create something that may be disrespect the place. With the help of audio, it helps the audience to connect with the visual because the sound of nature has been embedded into the audio. This will give an inviting feel and just makes you want to visit the place for a family picnic, and to enjoy your quality time with your loved ones.
I have recently changed the logo design, mainly playing around with the typeface. Initially the typography is thinned and from far away or when I tried to embed the logo onto the poster it disappeared. So making them more bold will make it more stand out. I have kept the main element of the Kangaroo Paws and didn't make any significant changes on that. Comparing between coloured and black and white image of the logo, the coloured one stands out more as a brand.
For poster I tried to make something simple and using the flower elements that I have created and placed them onto a canvas.
This is my first animated pattern, I tried to create patterns by using florals and decided to make them sway around and move around. So the yellow flowers are animated to rotate around and the kangaroo paw are just moving up and down. There's not a lot of animated elements in here yet
Second animation is the same, but the main thing that has been changed is the background. I added some clouds and a skyline of Perth. But some changes needs to be done because the skyline got lost and you can't really see if it's the city of Perth.
This one I tested out some bees animation. To see how fast it should be moving around the screen. The art style needed some changes though. But the speed of the bees were a little bit too fast when it's on the screen so I was considering changing it to butterflies instead.
This is the final animated pattern. I have changed a lot of the elements here compared to previous ones. The skyline has been enlarged, blurred and changed it to white because the greys were too emphasised. Since it's in the background, it shouldn't stand out too much. Gum leaves are on the top now and has been animated to sway side to side. I have also animated the red flowers on the sides to make them open and close. I also added some butterflies into this final piece.
