This is the motion graphic piece I made as an animated assisting element to the advertising.
This campaign will raise the visual appeal to something that doesn’t look childish, to appeal to an older audience.
Our age demographic are a very sentimental and nostalgic cohort. We’ve seen technology and the digital age grow and develop along with us from a young age. Therefore we have seen firsthand a lot of development and progress, and nostalgia marketing brings back the sentimental values and memories tied to a product we loved long ago. Such as... Nesquik!
Nostalgia marketing is the advertising equivalent of comfort food. We can use Nostalgia Marketing to appeal to the older age group to enjoy Nesquik again.
There is a large audience of sentimental flavoured-milk-drinkers that would love to be reminded of the energetic goodness of their childhood with Nesquik. This new campaign will catch their eye and inspire them to take it off the shelf and buy our product again.
My inspiration for this projects style and theme is the classic Memphis design. The purpose of this redesign is to appeal to an older age demographic: taking Nesquik's milk flavours from being enjoyed solely by young children and increasing it to visually appeal and attract young adults ages 18-35.
What better way to grab consumers attention than by stylizing the aesthetic that they grew up with! The emotional pull behind the classic 90's aesthetic is well-loved by those that grew up through it, and also thoroughly enjoyed as a popular style come-back in the modern day by those born a few years later.
I designed these fun little guys to add a human element to my Geometric Memphis Madness.
I maintained as much shape-inspired form into the bodies as possible, so they would blend in and compliment the shapes that were floating around.
Nesquik packaging is iconic as a metal tin or plastic bottle. My audience is automatically drawn to things that look eco-friendly, natural, and of course... brown paper packaging. So I made cylinders that are soft on the planet and fully recyclable to put those young adults minds at ease so they can enjoy the energetic flavours even more.
I designed a funky square box that contains sachets (which I also designed) so when you buy one of these you get a few sachets' of every flavour! Consumers love the choice of variety and options.
The age demographic of my audience commute to work, uni and social events just about every day of the week! Some are on the bus, or driving down the highway, or walking down the street. Therefore where would be better to add some enticing, fun, fabulous poster work to tempt them to enjoy a energetic treat to brighten their day.
I collaborated with Daniel Letchford, to design a stylized alphabet that he can install and type his characters information for his animation project. I learnt how to draw up individual letters and numbers to look cohesive and stylish, how to upload them into a plug-in so you can then install the typeface into a computer and type away!
