In this project we took on a major rebranding of a supermarket brand. In this case I choice the wine company Silverstream, a Demark based single vineyard wine maker.
The initial design I felt was cumbersome and would be hard to market in Perth during these modern times of slick and simple logo designs.
My aim was to create a brand that is easily marketable to a Perth based audience and I believe that I have done that.
I personally found the initial log to be very weak, the mark sued didn't make any sense to be there and the meaning was only uncovered if you went and found the brands Instagram page and then found and old story that they had saved to find the meaning behind it.
So in my newer logo I wanted to be able to take the mark out and make it more about the name than the visuals, this is why I incorporated:
Minimal mark work with only two lines to show a stream shape.
Made the focal point of the logo to be name
I didn't have any gripes about the previous packaging apart from the use of the logo, however re packaging for the new brand to fit was necessary as both the colour scheme and the mark work had changed, thus other changes were needed.
The new packaging incorporates:
A greyscale colour palette
Traditional labelling style
Longer thinner labels
