SHORT FILM PSYNOPSIS

TITLE: FORGOTTEN

Forgotten is a 60 seconds short film about a social anxious man, scared of going to a party. We see he has internal monologues and can’t deal with people forgetting who he is. It is set at a house party.

PROJECT PSYNOPSIS

According to the audio brief the audio project required to set the party enviroinment enphatising on the anxiety of the main characther

Techniques of sampling is used for the techno beat of the party, while the soundscapes used during the mood rising are played with the Juno 6 synthetizer.

Some fx are inserted emulating the sounds of water dropping (while is thinking) and "mind blowing" when he realise the house owner doesnt remeber him. In this case i wanted to focus more on the feeling of confusion/disappointment and bring that "comedy"feel requested by the director.

SCORING AND ARRANGMENT PROCESS

The process involved:

• Ableton :

• resampling: chopping, reversing clips, moving transients

• cut unwanted frequencies: eq/compression

• audio effects: autofilter,echo, NY compression.

• Pro Tools:

• Grphic EQ, Non Linear Reverb, Dynamic EQ, Multiband compression.

I wanted the film to have a comedic effect, and I was hoping this could be reflected within the audio as well.

During the opening shot of the character walking to the party, I want the music to feel overbearing on the character, but when he is outside the door, I thought the muffled music effect would work well.

When walking in the music becomes louder so the audience feels like they are at the party.
