This is a drawing based in the corner of a room.I used drawing paper, a pencil, and a blender.

One day i was sitting on the floor, trying to come up ideas for this piece and I saw the corner of the room I was in. I used low key lighting to show shadowing and the angles of the wall/room.

I used up as much of the paper/white space I could. I also angled the wall corner kind of in the middle of the paper. I changed the shadowing of the corner multiple times, trying to make it look as realistic as possible.

I created the piece while sitting on the floor. I seem to get my good ideas while sitting on the floor. Oddly enough, the only detailed pattern in the picture is the wood floor i was sitting on. It is a corner from one of the rooms in my house. I feel as if I could have made the floor boards look more grainy and like actual wood. Maybe I could have shaded the shadows more.

This is a drawing based in my friends room, at her desk. To make it, I used mostly shading and line.

I put most of the emphasis on the stool outline, and tried to balance out the white space of the paper and the stool, so I drew the desk that was above it.

The stool had leading lines, to show the stitching and shadows of the folds. I also showed the framing of the desk. I changed the farthest right leg of the stool, and added the desk+background because I thought the page would look weird without it.

I was sitting on the floor one day thinking of ideas and I found something that I use on a daily basis that is also still life drawing. The stool is something I use everyday, and I have a very similar desk in my room. I decided to draw something that was a little different, most people do not draw stools.

There is no setting for my self portrait, it is just on a white paper. For this drawing, I used graphite pencils, drawing paper, and a blender. I blended most of the lines to make the leading lines stand out more. This piece was an assignment. I used most of the space on the paper so that it looked balanced out. I tried to use sketchy lines and then go over them with thicker more confident lines.

I used leading lines to showcase my facial structure and nose/mouth/eyes. Low key lighting was used to highlight the nose lines and eye shadows. It helped show the contour in parts of my face. My project turned from a paper with an egg shape on it, to a drawing of my face. I changed the size and shape of the lips a couple times, and attempted to make the eyebrows look more natural instead of boxy.

The face in the portrait is not supposed to portray emotion, i wanted to make the face look as neutral as possible without making it seem boring or sad/angry. I guess you could say that I don’t show a lot of emotion in certain situations and scenarios. I try to not show to much emotion and let my guard down. I think that I could have made the eyes look more realistic. I am not the best at drawing, but the shape of the face is very similar to my own. I should have changed the size of the lips more and made them smaller.
