Collage

The subject of my piece is multiple structures and buildings. I used the grid method in order to accurately size the collage. I tried to use cut outs I knew would fit together and look intriguing. This piece has interesting kinds of architecture and colors.

I tried to have formal balance in this artwork, but because it is a collage, I wasn't fully able to accomplish it. I grouped together most of the buildings and used all angles of the paper. My project went from a paper with magazine cut outs and lines, to a full picture with bold colors and lines.

The big picture this piece is supposed to show is that even though things are different, they can still fit together and make something interesting. This project does not relate to my life. If anything could be change or storinger it would be the skinny lines in many of the images. They are incredibly hard to do with a paint brush because of stray hairs and hard angles.
