Candy Still Life

The subject of this artwork is a group of Sour Patch Kids being poured from a halloween candy bag. I used Prism colored pencils, graphite, and a fine tipped marker to make this piece. I chose to make my candy still life out of Sour Patch Kids because it there was only one pack , and I wanted my drawing to be unique.

I used line, value, and burnishing to produce a vibrant and detailed picture. At first, I was hesitant to draw the shadows, but as I drew them I realized that they were east to visualize on the paper.

There is no meaning behind this piece. It relates to my life because Sour Patch Kids are one of my favorite candies. Like me, they are both sour and sweet. If I could fix somethig
