ARTIST STATEMENT

Wow cats are the worst subjects ever. This was an incredibly difficult picture to capture because they just wouldn't sit still. My original goal was to have the cat appear to be staring at the food with desire in her eye by shining a laser pointer on said food. Once I realized these were cats, I had to improvise and just get the shot. I did lose my salmon to this image because I had to let the cat have it just so she wouldn't move. All in all I like this image, not my favorite, but not bad. Her face isn't the center but off to the side and a second cat is in the back ground looking curious to add another thing to this picture. Had I had more time with this image I would've planned out this idea a little bit more and would have accounted for the fact that yet again, they are cats. I wanted to edit a little bit more, but as photoshop kept crashing, I was unable. I'm glad i decided to make the food and what was close up, in focus, which is not what i was originally planning. A lot changed over the course of taking this photo, in the end I'm pleased.
