ARTIST STATEMENT

I took this image during the amazing Patriots game. I needed to get a picture of feet and I really liked this semi-angle up. The image was very bright and by making in black & white, I took a lot of distractions out of it. I also clone stamped out an outlet and a mug that drew the viewers eyes away from the main subject. I still thought the image needed something, something to make it a bit more interesting to look at. I decided to color in certain parts of the image that were very colorful to add a little pop. The socks were a very nice blue color and I thought I needed to color something of the Patriots so I landed on the logo. If I had more time I wanted to clone stamp the chair out in the background, but it was going to create too much of a disturbance in the image that would be too distracting.
