I love volleyball and one of the most popular leagues is "Upward". Upward is a Christian related league where you have fun and grow in Christ. Upward is a good league I really recommend it!
Upward sports was founed by Caz McCaslin in 1995 Spartenburg, SC or South Carolina. Caz McCaslin had a deep passion for sports he specifically tried to include sharing the love of Jesus throught all sports. Today there are over 2,000 Upward sports experiences. All the Upward sports include: Basketball, soccer, cheerleading, volleyball, flag football, baseball, and softball.
Every season when there's a game they hand out stars to all the players based on what they did. They have the colors including: green, gray, blue, white, red, and yellow. ¨The green star represents scripture learning which we get every practice for the memory verse we learn. Gray is for offense, blue is for effort, white is for christlikeness. That one is the best one. Red is for defense and yellow is for sportsmanship.¨ Says Upward stars.
Volleyball is a perfect sport. Just get the ball over the net using a set, bump, spike combo. To set you make a triangle in the air and hit the ball with your fingers. Bump you make a big fist with both hands and hit the ball. Finally to spike the ball you jump and smack it on the opponent's side.
Upward is a great volleyball league you should join next year. It's at Ellettsville Christian Church (ECC). I guarantee you'll have fun!
