Wooohooo, Edgewood has won the game! This year the A team for softball has won 7/11 of their games. The B team also did good winning 6/10 games this season! The softball team this year consisted of 6th, 7th and 8th graders. The coaches were Mrs. Ayer, she sadly had to leave for most of the season though, Ms. Schooling, and her dad Mr. Schooling.Ā

The season consisted of 11 total games. The first game they went up against Eminence, they got a win! The second game both A and B teams lost to John Wooden. The A and BĀ  teams got wins against Monrovia for their 3rd game. Their fourth game they went up against Eastern Greene and both A and B teams won. They went up against Monrovia again, the A team won, the B team sadly lost. For their sixth game they played OV and got wins for both A and B teams. They played John Wooden for A team they got a loss, B also got a loss against them. For their 8th game they played OV and won both games again. The A team got a tie against South Putnam, the B team got a win. In their second to last game both teams beat Cloverdale. Their last game was at home against the BTown Catz, both teams got losses, but they still had a great season!Ā Ā Ā

The last game of the season was on Monday May, 15th! They played their last game at home against the BTown Catz. Both the A and B teams for Edgewood sadly lost against the BTown Catz. The score for the game was 4 to 2, close game Colts great job! Overall the Colts had a great season and did well on their games!Ā

Some players will be heading to the High School but some will be staying at the Junior High and continue playing. Kinley Butler wants to try out for next year's team, she is currently a sixth grader and loved it so much this year she would love to play it again. Eden Norton, another sixth grader is going to try out because she loves being on the team and the coaches! Almost all the softball players canā€™t wait for the next season to start!Ā

These great players have so many students who support them and think they are great players! Kendal Robinson said, ā€œI think they have done pretty good this season, and I think that they will really go far!ā€ Cameron Sessions also said,ā€ I think they have done really good, and they are very supportive of each other.ā€ This team puts so much hard work and effort into their softball careers and it definitely pays off! Congrats on the season Colts!
