“Clark with another three!” “Number 22, Caitlyn Clark for the win…IT’S GOOD!!!” Caitlyn Clark is a women's college basketball player who is taking over women's basketball HISTORY. Also the one with whopping NIL deals, NBA level average PPG. Did you know she is possibly coming to Indiana Fever (WNBA)? If you didn't, you will after reading this article.

Let's talk about Clark's past. Clark attended Dowling Catholic High School in her hometown of West Des Moines, Iowa. She grew up with her parents, Brent Clark and Anne Nizzi-Clark, and her brothers, Blake and Colin. She began playing basketball at age 5. She grew up playing with boys because her dad couldn’t find a league for her. She studied marketing and leadership for the Hawkeyes. Clark could have stayed one more year playing college ball but decided not to.    Here is what Amos Mobley has to say about Clark, “I think she is the best in the big 10 by a longshot. She is good at shooting, defense, and rebounds.” She’s not only known for her 3s but for the trash-talking she does. Clark is No. 2 among men and women with 17 career triple-doubles.

She announced on February 29 2024 that she is going into the WNBA draft in April. Indiana Fever has the first pick and will probably pick Clark. “Either I’m going to be coming back to something that I’ve really loved, or I could start my pro career, which was my dream ever since I was a little kid,” Clark said back in August. And it's true, she could have stayed one more year at Iowa for the year she missed because of covid 19. Her NIL deals as a senior will have made her an estimated $910,000 already. And if she chose to stay in college for one more year those estimates shoot up to around $3.1 million. But In her first year in the WNBA, she would earn a base salary of approximately $76,000. That is way less. This had to have been a really tough decision because she would make more money just staying one more year but she has been wanting to be in the WNBA since she was a child.

Overall Clark is an amazing player and all Indiana basketball players and watchers are very excited to have Caitlin come to the Indiana Fever.
