All About Mr. Musselwhite

Have you ever walked by the new sixth grade math classroom and wondered, “Who teaches in that classroom?” Well, it’s Mr. Musselwhite! He just started teaching sixth grade at EJHS this year. If you want to know more about his teaching career now, his teaching career in the past, and his hobbies, keep reading!

This first paragraph is about Mr. Musselwhite’s teaching career. Some of you may know him from when he principled at the high school, and now he is at the EJHS! Musselwhite says, “I initially was going to be an airplane pilot, spending a few years in the Aviation Program.” After going through flight school he decided that he didn’t want to continue that path and instead wanted to go into the teaching career. He decided on math because it is something that he has always enjoyed. “I have taugh algebra, finite, geometry, honors, and regular math.” Musselwhite states.

Mr. Musselwhite has only ever taugh at Edgewood Highschool and now Edgewood Junior Highschool. “I love teaching math because there is always one correct answer and you are always either right or wrong and it’s never an opinion.”, Musselwhite says. The reason why he left the highschool was because he wanted to experience a younger audience since he had taught at the highschool level for twenty-one years.

Overall, Mr. Musselwhite is an amazing teacher and is so excited to meet everyone in EJHS. He is hoping that teaching a younger grade will open up opportunities to teach even lower grades. You should %100 meet Mr. Musselwhite if you ever get the chance!
